Duties include but are not limited to the following:

• The ability to perform a wide range of consistent massage and body therapies following milk + honey protocols and timing standards, including:
• All massage services including prenatal and couples.
• All body wraps.
• All enhancements.
• Seasonal services, new launch specials and promotions.
• Optional: wet treatments, specialty massages that require additional trainings and certifications such as Reiki, Lymphatic, etc
• Hold and appropriately display all required licenses and/or certifications, remain current on any changes, and comply with all associated rules, regulations, and display requirements.
• Review client intake forms, obtain health histories, assess conditions, consult on recommended treatments, and customize services to accommodate medical needs or contraindications.
• Record detailed client notes in the system by the end of each shift, including contraindications, allergies, medications, treatment preferences, and any other relevant information.
• Actively participate in sales and marketing events inside and outside of the spa.
• Track and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs)—including Retail-to-Service %, Retention %, and Guest Feedback Score—in alignment with employee performance review standards.
• Maintain expertise in product lines by attending ongoing training and educational courses, and proactively recommend products to clients.
• Support business growth by encouraging repeat visits and engaging in client-focused activities, such as writing thank you notes and updating Treatment Cards with home care tips, next-visit details, and product recommendations.
• Attend and participate in team meetings and location-wide events to support collaboration, maintain high standards, and foster a positive workplace culture.
• Demonstrate a commitment to upholding milk + honey’s Mission, Vision, and Values.
• Exemplify professional communication skills and maintain awareness of company updates, policies, and initiatives.
• Arrive prepared and ready to work at the designated reporting time, including attendance at pre-shift meetings; missing or arriving late to these meetings may be considered tardy.
• Complete side work and closing duties as directed by the Department Head or Manager.

• Original State Massage Therapy License/Certification with photo on-location
• Must have schedule availability to include evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Must be able to sustain reasonable physical activity for the duration of a scheduled shift inclusive of being able to stand, bend, and perform treatments for extended periods of time.
• Sensitivity to unnecessary waste of product and a willingness to act to reduce waste
• Must communicate and receive permission from clients to perform any stretching or modality that will include climbing on the table during the service
• Requires the ability to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs (e.g., treatment tables, supplies)
